The New Territories are all areas of Hong Kong above Kowloon and all outlying islands so post here if the area of your discussion is not specifically covered below.

Situated on the Southern end of the mainland. The backbone of Hong Kong, also refereed as the "Dark Side" by those who live on the Hong Kong Island side.

The second largest Island of Hong Kong, home of the financial center and nightlife (Lan Kwai Fong, Wan Chai). The Island offers both fresh and saltwater fishing from the Harbour all the way south to Stanley.

This district runs along the Eastern side of Hong Kong, right from the district of Tai Poi all the way down south till Kwun Tong. There are endless fishing opportunities here, mostly saltwater with many Islands close to shore.

Situated on the Northern Eastern part of Hong Kong, this district offers both salt and freshwater fishing opportunities.

The largest Island in Hong Kong, the home of Hong Kong International Airport and situated on the Western side of Hong Kong.

Any of the more than 230 Islands of Hong Kong such as Cheung Chau, Peng Chau, etc that are not already listed above.

So far the only promising place left in Greater China where you'll actually catch a decent size fish!

Anywhere else in Hong Kong not specific to one of the above areas.

Fishing for indigenous sporting fish in Sri Lanka is free. With a shoreline of 1,140 miles and a continental shelf of 10,000 square miles, the seas around Ceylon have an unlimited fishing potential hardly exploited.

The land of biggies as long as you can avoid the pirates...

The variety of freshwater and marine environments in Malaysia offer a vast range of angling opportunities. Whether for serious game fishing or for fun, Malaysia boasts a plethora of angling destinations.

Huge country but not much English language fishing information yet.

Like Thailand but with a lot more depth. Mostly safe but it pays to take precautions. Some areas are unspoiled and have great fishing while others are fished out or even destroyed entirely by dynamite fishing.

Its not just about beaches, babes and beer..sometimes there are fish to be caught, real fish not the ones you see in go go bars!

Besides buying war souvenirs, there is some good fresh water and limited Saltwater action.
