Fishing Girl -- Did you see any small black marlin or sailfish when you were in Palau Jarak? I've been fishing for sails in Rompin last two season. Hoping to find a destination close to HK with realistic shots at Blacks. Cheers, K

Blacks are fairly widespread in the immediate SE Asia area - more so than charter crews that really understand the game. Phuket is one of the relatively few places where these two elements come together. Although what is often considered the best season (November or thereabouts) may have passed, there's still a decent chance of finding them in the next couple months or so. As mentioned above, finding the right crew for the type of fishing you want to do is the other half of the game. There are not too many of those. Don't hesitate to ask lots of questions and for references.
