hello,
padang bay...
some of the area for rock fishing is behind pura silayukti, if you looking for the biggies, a spot call 'PRASI' will be a good choices, ask around for prasi, prasi can be rached by 'jukung' small traditional local boat or by land and a short walk.
depth around 40 to 80 meters once you thro 40-60 meters.

baits are lemuru or bali sardenia, circle hook are recomended to avoid stuck to the rock bed, on a 60 lbs mainline and at least one meter 80lbs leader line or a wirestrand.

best catches around is gt around 30 kilos like some months back.
'pulau kambing' or goat island also an options for the rock fishing. the new villa at the right side of the harbor alsoa choice.
if you travel further back to kusamba, some do surf fishing also,

if you travel farther up to tulamben-karangasem, in front of emeraldhotel also very very promising, there you should use mackerel that easily found at the market or on the side road merchant.

be very careful is first, safety first, please do not fish alone especially if you fish overnight.

if you want to go across to next island penida, a short 45 minutes ride on boat, many many places are good for fishing landbased there. lemme know if you like to go with me, i do overnight rock fishing.
casting and popping landbased, so far i havent found any good spot yet in bali.

I'm going to be in Bali over Easter, and am thinking on taking my spinning rods - one heavy, one lightweight - are these places easy to find?

for this time of year and almost all year round, the most productive fishing technique is jigging, deep jigging to 130 meters. check out my new reports at this forum, too.
